Well, a partial end here in the UK at least. People are free to leave the house to do ‘non essential’ things as long as social distancing is still applied!
Tomorrow I will be taking a couple of days off, due to the fact that our nanny Sindy will be returning to do the school run for Thor and Aaliyah. We have of course missed her. John remains at home working remotely. I will be spending 2 days completely alone, just me, enjoying the quiet!
I mentioned in the comments of this blog yesterday that I might upload our video from last summer at the beach with our not so famous five taking their first tentative steps into the surf. But sadly worldpress isn’t letting me upload it! I have tried many times thus far.
I guess that my allocated 3 gb of web space must be full. I’ve gone back and deleted some video from a year back to free up some space. But it doesn’t seem to have helped sadly.
Another lazy day in the garden, playing mostly, that and generally relaxing. Daddy mowed his lawn and is presently watering the yew hedge as part of it is sadly dying.
A roast beef dinner was to be had. I did all the preparation earlier, bar put the actual beef in the oven. Now, feeling tired and none of us are feeling particularly hungry in this heat. So, I’m cooking sausages now for the children to be had with some of the leftover spaghetti puttanesca.
The silverside joint has been sliced into several steaks and are now braising in some beef stock. Perhaps Daddy and Dadda’s dinner might be beef steak with a few boiled potatoes and peas. Keep it light I say.
If I’m not online tomorrow, I will apologise now in advance. I do as ever thank you for reading. And I will try to sort out my technical glitches.
I will just explain today’s picture! Lunch was a very posh cheese and ham (club) sandwich. Mature cheddar, honey roast ham, sourdough bread, one piece toasted, salad, mayonnaise and Spanish cornichons. And .to top it all, I grabbed the two ends of the loaf for my sandwich. The children almost always get them! Looks very deli, doesn’t it?
