I haven’t done one of these in a short while, so here is a selection of some of our evening meals from this last week. Sunday tonight, so a family roast chicken meal with the children. Roast meals used to be so trying. Every week I would tell myself that this meal would be the last one! All that work repaid with screams, ‘I’m not eating that’ and peas being tossed around! But perseverance paid off. The children voted a roast dinner their favourite family meal ever yesterday, replacing last years favourite of broccoli (red) pesto pasta!
Filet of Lamb Steak, mashed potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms.
Chicken (thigh) curry with basmati rice.
Easy Mock Roasty. Roast pork leg, deep fried potatoes, peas and cracklings.
Boiled gammon joint, mash and broccoli.
Filet steak, dauphinois potatoes and mangtout
Lobster bisque, peppered trout filet and prawns with mashed potato and samfire.
A tasty menu this week and enjoyed very much! Bon appetite everyone!
Andi, your meals look mouth-watering my fantastic. And so nice that you also include Indian cuisine in your repertoire (and it makes sense now that I know about your time spent there). Your 5 kids are eating very well! 🙂

Oh, thank you Ab. Mind you the children’s menu is slightly less glamorous than ‘Daddy and Dadda’s Dinner’, they do eat well, nutritiously and world wise! Yesterday’s lunch for them was egg fried rice and today saw a mutter (pea curry) with roti… the children do embrace most foods!
Hoping your Sunday goes well. About to go to bed here in ‘The Shires’! 🙂

Egg fried rice sounds yum! Ditto curry with roti.

These look amazing Andi, if they taste half as good as they look they look good enough to serve in a restaurant! I enjoy cooking myself but these look truly incredible. If only I could smell the smells……..

Ah Paul, that is so kind of you to say. Very appreciated words. I hope all is well your end. Feeling full now, the family roast tonight, so just a night to relax now. The children just up to bed. Country file about to start! 😉

The food looks amazing, I am a real ‘foodie’, I absolutely love good food, it forms a big part of my life believe me. I also love cooking but need to work on my presentation skills, yours look like a work of art!

Thank you Paul. I too love food! I qualified as a chef a couple of lifetimes ago ( before the birth of celebrity chefs), but left catering for design! I used to joke that John and I are only together as he loves food so much and loves to feed well!
Now as a designer I would definitely say, just slow down a little on plating up and look at your separate constituents! You will appreciate an end result better if you think about it before hand!
Good luck with your next playing up! 😊

Thanks And, that makes sense! You have the two perfect skills that combine so well, catering and design! My results end up looking like we have just been through an earthquake!

Haha! I’m sure that is not the case Paul! As your cataloguing experience teaches us, meticulous consideration always prevails! 😃

Andi, all of your dinners look so good (I applaud the chef!) but I so love curry that I think my favorite would be the chicken curry with rice! 🙂

Aaah, thank you Margie. And do you know what? It is definitely my favourite too.
I hope you’re not missing Kelsey too much? 🙂

Hi Andi, I am still with Kelsey and just about to take her for a walk.
I will be here till tonight when her family gets back home.
The little rascal hopped onto the bed in the middle of the night and slept next to me.(that is a no-no, so please keep it a secret! LOL )

Oh! That’s great. The staying with her until tonight that is, not her jumping on the bed! A bit naughty in this house too! And I won’t tell anyone. But is is very sweet that she wanted to be close to you. I hope the walk has been pleasant! I bet Hank is looking forward to seeing you. Woof woof to them both from Remus and Gracie 🙂

Andi, Kelsey is very lovable and it looks like I will be here till tomorrow now as it was too windy to drive the motor home today.
Jeff came over today for a visit but he drove his bike so I did not see Hank.
I am really enjoying being with Kelsey but I do miss Hank and Jeff.
It’s so quite here!
Woof woof to Remus and Grace from Kelsey!

Wow another night with Kelsey 💕 that sounds relaxing Margie. And Jeff has a bike (boys toys), John has one too! Your daughter was wise not to come home in the wind! Also very windy here too! A shame about not seeing Hank 🙁 however.
Sending our very best wishes. Sleepy time here – the last one remaining! John went to bed an hour ago! Just me and the dogs! Woof woof and night night.
