Some fine dining options this week, though I am not sure that daddy always appreciates the trouble one goes to! But isn’t that the same in every house?
Wholewheat spaghetti with clams
Salmon en-croute with petit pois a la Francaise and butter braised Jersey Royal potatoes
Lamb Filet with dauphinois and garlic green beans
Pulled braised pork, beans, potatoes and crispy cracklings
Sea Bass and Prawns, purée peas and potatoes
scallop, black pudding, peas and dauphinois
A take on a cottage pie. Beef, 3 hours braised in a tomato and onion sauce, sliced potatoes and a mountain of grated cheddar.
The scallops look delicious (but you can have my share of the black pudding!) .

Haha! A lively and most welcome comment! I used to hate it myself. My partners John’s mum always served it in her Irish breakfast… so I got used to it after time! 🤔

😮 Your cooking looks like the pages of an upmarket food magazine – how do you find the time with all that you do? I am so impressed 🙂

You are too kind! Thankfully daddy and dadda eat late! Once the children are in bed, though they are very often back down though! 😃

Oh my goodness in this heat they’ll always be at least one of five up and about 🙃

Very true, though the heat has subsided somewhat, here in ‘The Shires’! 🙂🙃🙂

Have you thought about opening a restaurant, Andi? Preferably in Slovenia 🤣

You say the sweetest of things Ingrid. 😃
Not feeling great at present! Thor’s runny nose of last week has manifested itself in me as a stinking cold. I want to go back to bed, but just me here today with the not so famous five! All settled for now. The woke me at 6am… achew!

Oh dear Andi you have my sympathy! I was so fortunate to have my mother in law to help with the kids last time I was ill…being a parent is the one job from which you can’t take a sick day! There’s always tablets/TV/video games 😬

That is true, isn’t it Ingrid! No day off with parenting! We are just through breakfast and screen/tv is now on the menu! Mind you, Aaliyah has just cracked Tara’s screen! Amritsar coughing underneath the cushions beside me! And Caleb looking over, a stream of snot!
We’re in for a great day, I’m sure if that 😉

Andi, are your services for hire? LOL. I mean, I can throw down in the kitchen, but your culinary presentation is off the charts! I want all of these meals. LOL!
