11am 8th May 2020 – we remember the countless lives lost in WWII. 2 minutes of silence to acknowledge the end of the war in Europe 75 years ago.
Mind you keeping the little ones quiet was quite a battle with ‘shhh’ then ‘shhh’ and ‘shhh’ as they all piped up one by one except that is for Amritsar.
Thank you to the allies who fought alongside one another to fight for our freedoms! Those freedoms we seem to take for granted today! Lest we forget their sacrifice.
Hi, thanks for your post. Here’s my take on VE Day. Best wishes, John. https://johnager.co.uk/2020/05/08/ve-day-2020/

You’re doing an amazing job Andi. its important to educate the next generation and hopefully the ravages of War will never be repeated and its important that each generation knows the sacrifices others gave so that we can enjoy the freedom we have today

Very well said Paul. Yes, if it weren’t for those who went before! All taking it easy today in the garden. A small video later – we finally managed our Lū’au in the sun. I said I had a pineapple didn’t I? 🙂

Caleb is in high spirits. Maybe too high as he runs around the garden playing with his brother and sisters. We are all well on this day of remembrance. Playing in the garden on this sunny day. A post a bit later Margie and you will see! I was so worried last night. I am just glad we are here today, past yesterday’s dramas. Hope to speak later. Thank you for the message 🙂
